  • Nominate an "Inspiring Leader" to be Spotlighted in Upcoming TASA Communications
    Do you know a fellow TASA member who inspires you or others? TASA is seeking nominations of TASA members who are regarded by their peers as "Inspiring Leaders" based on their efforts and/or leadership qualities. We plan to feature these outstanding school leaders in upcoming TASA communications, starting with the 2019 TASA Midwinter Conference program. Nominating someone is simple! Just complete this short online form and tell us in a few sentences what makes your nominee an "Inspiring Leader."

  • Budget Boot Camp Offered at Region 11 ESC January 15
    TASA's Budget Boot Camp is coming to the Region 11 ESC this January 15! During this six-hour training, school finance expert and TASA consultant Doug Karr will give you the opportunity to complete and/or update the latest release of the state funding template under guided instruction; project state and local revenue for current and future planning purposes; monitor the under/over payment of foundation school fund state aid; and ask questions about other school finance issues. Budget Boot Camp will also be offered January 27, prior to the TASA Midwinter Conference. Register today for Region 11 ESC boot camp on January 15 or the Midwinter Conference boot camp on January 27.

  • Register Now for 2018-19 CMAT and Curriculum Workshops
    TASA will offer several Curriculum Management Audit Training (CMAT) sessions, both Level 1 and Level 2, at TASA Headquarters in Austin during the 2018-19 school year. In addition, new this year, TASA will offer a Curriculum Writing Workshop and Curriculum Management Planning Workshop. Learn more.

2019 Midwinter Conference Announcements

  • Accountability Forum Seminar to Follow Midwinter Conference
    The TASA Accountability Forum will meet Wednesday, January 30, in the Austin Convention Center after the TASA Midwinter Conference. Key TEA staff have been invited to provide updates, and experts at Moak, Casey & Associates will provide reports and data on the assessment and accountability systems and discuss the issues they anticipate will be before the 2019 Texas Legislature.     TASA's Corporate Partner Program gives companies that do business with schools ongoing recognition and visibility through a choice of event/advertising packages, ranging from $10,000 to $40,000.
