03.19.2018 โ Results of the 2018 TASA Executive Committee elections are in. Up for election for the term June 1, 2018, to May 31, 2020, were those positions representing even-numbered ESC regions.
02.26.2018 โ In Regions 2, 16, and 20, seven TASA members submitted petitions for inclusion on the election ballots, mailed to TASA members in Regions 2, 16, and 20 on February 28.
04.20.2018 โ The TRS has board adopted rate increases for TRS-ActiveCare for the 2019 plan year. The increases mirror the recommendations from the Benefits Committee.
04.19.2018 โ The Texas House Public Education Committee met Wednesday, April 18, on an interim charge related to the implementation of legislation passed in 2017 on school finance, accountability, and cyberbullying. The committee also received an update from TEA on issues related to Hurricane Harvey.
04.16.2018 โ School administrators are encouraged to provide specific comments on the current proposed draft plan in writing by emailing TexasSPED@tea.texas.gov by noon, Wednesday, April 18.
04.12.2018 โ The Texas House Pensions Committee will meet at 10 a.m., May 10, in Dallas on TRS health care, defined benefit programs, and agency oversight issues.
