Senate Education Committee Votes Out Substitute for HB 21

08.11.2017 — Today the Senate Education Committee voted out a substitute bill for HB 21. The Senate version cuts most of the $1.8 billion for public schools provided for by the House bill.

It includes:

  • $150 million for ASATR hardship grants
  • $60 million for charter school facilities
  • $60 million to increase the EDA yield
  • $41 million for the small-school adjustment (six-year phase in)
