Senate Education Meets Today to Discuss Assessments, SB 3
The Senate Education committee will meet today at 8:30 a.m. in room E1.208 to hear public (and possibly invited) testimony on assessments.
Specifically, the committee will hear discussion and testimony on what the state assessment system should or should not include. During last week’s public hearing on SB 3, that focuses on graduation plans, there was a great deal of testimony recommending changes to the state's testing system. Sen. Patrick is providing the opportunity to extend the discussion at today’s informational hearing. Please note the short time limit of 2 minutes per person for public testimony.
SB 3 was left pending by the committee last week. However, the committee notice indicates that Chairman Patrick intends to consider taking action on SB 3 today.
