Former Superintendent Brandon Core to Join TASA Staff
TASA is pleased to announce that Brandon Core will be joining our staff as Assistant Executive Director for Digital Learning and Leadership Development, effective January 2.
Core joins our team from the Texas Center for Educator Effectiveness (TxCEE) where he has been the Assistant Director. Previously, he served as superintendent of the Anderson-Shiro Consolidated Independent School District and also held the positions of interim superintendent, deputy superintendent and principal. During his tenure at Anderson-Shiro, the district was selected to participate in the Texas High Performance Schools Consortium. Core has also held the positions of assistant principal and teacher in Navasota ISD, Dayton ISD, and Beauregard Parish Schools in Louisiana.
In his role at TASA, Core will assume responsibility for managing the content development and curation of content in the TASA on iTunes U project, as well as the development of other digital learning projects. In addition, he will support our school transformation and leadership development initiatives.
Core received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from McNeese State University, his M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University, and his Ph.D in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University.
