Special Learning Opportunity for Teachers at 2014 Midwinter Conference

TASA is pleased to announce a special opportunity for district teacher leaders/content specialists to gain hands-on experience in creating, distributing, and using digital content through a one-day Digital Content Leadership Academy taking place during TASA's Midwinter Conference on Monday, January 27, at the Austin Convention Center, 8:30 a.m.–2 p.m.

The academy is designed to add to the state's growing cadre of teachers and content experts proficient in digital content creation. Participants will hear from superintendents who have implemented iTunes U courses and educators who created the TASA on iTunes U course content. Following the panel presentations, participants will break into groups based on level (high school or middle school) and content area (English language arts, math, science, social studies, and other content areas), and dive into the real work of creating online content.

The day will wrap up with the Midwinter Conference's 1st General Session featuring Yong Zhao. Participants who register for this academy may also attend the entire Midwinter Conference for the special registration fee of just $50 per person.  Learn more
