TASA Associate Executive Director Announces Retirement

05.16.2018 — Dr. Paul Whitton, Jr. has announced his intent to retire from his position as Associate Executive Director for Administrative Services, effective May 31, 2018.
 
“Paul has been an invaluable member of the TASA staff for more than 17 years and will be greatly missed,” said Dr. Johnny Veselka, TASA Executive Director. “I am most thankful for his leadership and for his personal and professional support throughout his time at TASA and for his commitment to the association as a TASA member for 48 years. We wish for him a most enjoyable retirement.”

Whitton joined the TASA staff in 2001, after serving as superintendent in Frenship ISD from 1983 to 2001. Prior to that time, he served as superintendent in Hamlin and Little Elm, and as assistant superintendent in Everman ISD. His 54 years of service in public education also included service as a classroom teacher and principal.
