Hereford ISD Superintendent Elected to AASA Governing Board
06.02.2015 — Kelli Moulton, superintendent of Hereford ISD, has been elected to the Governing Board of AASA, The School Superintendents Association.
She will fill the seat to be vacated by Brownwood ISD Superintendent Reece Blincoe, whose term expires June 30, and join two other Texans on the Board: Humble ISD Superintendent Guy Sconzo and Weslaco ISD Superintendent Ruben Alejandro.
Governing Board members have dual responsibilities. They represent their home states on the Board, and they report the work of the Governing Board to their home state affiliates. Through their Board representatives, members have a voice in AASA decision-making.
All newly elected AASA governance members, including 2015-16 AASA President-Elect Alton L. Frailey, TASA immediate past president and superintendent of Katy ISD, will begin their terms July 1.
Frailey and David R. Schuler, superintendent of High School District 214, in Arlington Heights, Ill., will be sworn in as president-elect and president respectively during a ceremony at a meeting of the governing board in Washington, D.C., on July 8.
