Ontogenetic Development of Accountability: The Transition from Indices to Domains
Provided twice yearly at no registration cost to current TASA Accountability Forum subscribers, TASA Accountability Forum seminars feature invited speakers who provide valuable information related to the Texas public school accountability system. The upcoming seminar, to be held in Austin immediately following the 2017 TASA Midwinter Conference, will include:
Participants will receive helpful resources and materials to take home, and have opportunities to network with their colleagues from across the state.
- John Tanner, founder of Test Sense, who will present on the pitfalls of many common approaches to assessment and accountability and how those might be overcome
- Staff from Moak, Casey and Associates, who will provide an analysis of pertinent filed legislation and an in-depth look at the transitions in accountability associated with new state and federal law
- TEA Deputy Commissioner Penny Schwinn and Director Shannon Housson, who will address Forum subscribers about TEA's ongoing efforts to improve state assessment delivery and implement state and federal accountability

Registration Fee (includes lunch and seminar materials): Districts with a 2016-17 subscription to the TASA Accountability Forum may bring up to three (3) attendees at no cost. Additional attendees from 2016-17 subscribing districts pay just $75.* We ask that you register all individuals attending from your district—even if they are complimentary—so that we will have an accurate count for lunch and materials.*The registration fee for attendees from non-subscribing districts is $175.
