  • The TASA Midwinter Conference has become the most popular conference of the year for Texas school leaders because it provides such a valuable opportunity to come together to discuss and share innovative practices, network with peers, address the administrative issues administrators face every day, and gain fresh insights.

    The 2018 conference attracted nearly 6,000 total attendees, who include superintendents, deputy and associate superintendents, business managers, curriculum specialists, personnel administrators, technology directors, principals, and other major decision makers in Texas schools.

Exhibit Hours & Schedule

  • The 2019 conference will feature 13 hours of exhibit time. Exhibits must be installed and ready by 8 a.m., Monday, January 28. Exhibitors are required to participate during show hours each day beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, continuing through 2 p.m. on Tuesday. All exhibits must be removed from the Convention Center no later than 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

    Exhibit Traffic
    A food court is located in the exhibit hall and will be open Monday 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. and Tuesday 8 a.m. - 2 p.m., encouraging attendees to visit the exhibit hall to eat lunch and view exhibits. In addition, snacks and beverages will be available throughout the day in the exhibit hall.

    TASA Midwinter Conference exhibits are showcased in Exhibit Halls 2, 3, and 4 of the Austin Convention Center, 500 East Cesar Chavez St., Austin, TX 78701.

    Austin Convention Center parking garages are located on Second Street between Brazos and San Jacinto streets and behind the Hilton Austin Hotel (entrance on Fifth Street).

Policies & Permits

  • Selling Policy
    Except with the prior written approval of TASA, exhibitors shall not sell products at the event. Your completion of the online application-contract signifies that you have read the rules and regulations and agree to abide by them. Exhibitors are responsible for any and all permits required by law or local ordinance. An exhibitor without a Texas location needs a use-tax permit.     Temporary Food Permit
    Exhibitors presenting, preparing, or providing food to show attendees must obtain a temporary food service permit. The City of Austin requires the permit be obtained through TASA. The permit application must be submitted to TASA by Friday, December 14, along with a check in the amount of $200. No home-prepared foods are allowed. Questions? Exhibitor Service Kit

  • An exhibitor service kit is provided to each exhibitor by Freeman Decorating. The kit contains complete information on show rules and regulations; installation and dismantling of exhibits; and exhibit services such as carpentry, drayage, signs, carpet and furniture rental, utility services, cleaning, and parking. Forms for all of these services are included in the kit.
