About TCPEA

  • The Texas Council of Professors of Educational Administration is an organization dedicated to promoting the improvement and advancement of educational leadership by:
    1. Helping members become more effective in their role as professors of educational administration
    2. Encouraging research, investigation, and dissemination of the research results
    3. Fostering positive relationships with state and national educational organizations

    TCPEA meets twice annually in conjunction with the TASA/TASB Convention in early fall and the TASA Midwinter Conference in January.

    TCPEA is a state affiliate of the National Council of Professors of Educational Administration (NCPEA).

  • Join us at the 2019 TCPEA Fall Meeting in Dallas
    The 2019 TCPEA Fall Meeting, held in conjunction with the TASA/TASB Convention, will be at the  on Friday, September 20th Kay Bailey Hutchison
    Convention Center, Dallas. Registration opens at 8:30 am and the meeting runs 9 am-Noon and 1:00 – 3:00 Graduate Research Exchange.

  • Call for Proposals

    2019 Graduate Research Exchange
    This call is for educational administration graduate students to present their completed research or research-in-progress at the 2019 TCPEA Graduate Research Exchange. The Graduate Research Exchange (GRE) will be held on September 20, 2019, at the Fall TCPEA Meeting held in conjunction with TASA/TASB Convention at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.

    Please submit a proposal, complete the online form at: TCPEA Graduate Research Exchange 2019 Call for Proposals

    Call for Proposal Submission Details:  A 250 to 500-word maximum abstract of the completed research or research-in-progress. The text of the abstract should include a statement of the problem, subjects used, procedure, and/or results and conclusions.

    GRE Presentation Format: Two (2) one-hour sessions of round-table-only discussions (no PowerPoint presentations, no overheads). Students will be assigned to tables where they will have 15 minutes each to present and discuss their research, with a potential maximum of four (4) presentations per table.

    If accepted, students must bring 12 copies of a completed paper to be distributed at the Graduate Research Exchange, Friday, September 20th, 2019 at the TCPEA Meeting in conjunction with the TASA/TASB Convention in Dallas, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, Dallas, Texas.

    Proposals will be peer-reviewed. Notification of acceptance to present will be made by August 31, 2019. Thank you for your submission.
