TASA
is an active participant in the state's legislative and policy
development process, and a strong voice for Texas school management on
all matters affecting public education. TASA develops and promotes
public policy proposals that address the concerns of school
administrators in Texas. The TASA staff coordinates the development of
the TASA Legislative Program under the direction of the Legislative and
Executive Committees, and communicates the association's positions to
members of the legislature and other state leaders. The Legislative
Committee, appointed jointly by the TASA president and president-elect,
serves for two years beginning with the interim period following each
regular session of the legislature in order to provide continuity in
program development and advocacy. |
