Dr. Laura Mackay began her career in education 23 years ago as a fourth grade teacher. She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Science degree in Educational Leadership from University of Houston- Clear Lake. Combining her knowledge in both the field of psychology and educational leadership has led to a study of how to improve school systems for all levels of learners. She has served in a range of roles from teacher to administrator. Laura is currently a science coach and magnet liaison at an elementary STEM magnet program at Ed White Elementary in El Lago, Texas. She enjoys creating new programs, teaching science and engineering labs and helping students discover a love of scientific discovery.
