Becky Kamas is the manager for STEM on Station, a NASA Education activity dedicated to bringing NASA-unique STEM opportunities and resources related to the International Space Station to both students and educators.
Prior to joining NASA in 2009, she taught high school math in Central Texas. As an educator, she seeks ways to connect students and educators to authentic STEM experiences and promotes continuous improvement in education.
Kamas first became involved in NASA Education programs as a participant in the High School Aerospace Scholars Program and Texas Fly High during her junior year of high school and is excited to be able to provide similar opportunities to students and educators today.
She earned her master’s degree in Educational Technology and her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Texas A&M University, along with a Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching from Oklahoma State University.
